Dr. James Hicks

Dr. James Hicks, BSc DDS

Dr. James Hicks is a graduate of UNBSJ where he received his undergraduate degree in Biology/Psychology (2008) before completing his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Dalhousie University (2014). He has received several awards while at Dalhousie University, including the Dr. David Manuel Memorial Prize (greatest proficiency in Patient Care) and the Dr. FA Godsoe Prize (greatest proficiency in foundation sciences in clinical practice).


Dr. Hicks focuses on providing the highest quality of treatment with the aim of educating his patients about the importance of oral health. He also strives to make his patients feel comfortable and help them overcome any dental anxieties they may have associated with dentistry; therefore helping to restore their oral health. Those who have met Dr. Hicks appreciate his calm and relaxed manner. His practice is focused on general dentistry and Invisalign® orthodontics.


He was happy to come back to the Saint John area to practice dentistry and now resides in the Quispamsis area with his wife and four children.


Dr. Hicks looks forward to helping new and old clients as part of the Oakville Lane Dental Team.

Dr. Aaron Tait

Dr. Aaron Tait, HBSc DDS

Dr. Aaron Tait graduated from Dalhousie University where he received both an undergraduate honours degree in Biology (2000) and Doctor Dental Surgery (2004), after which he returned to the beautiful Kennebecasis Valley. Along with his staff, Dr. Tait has completed continued education training in various aspects of dentistry, with a particular focus on dental implants. He has advanced training in bone grafting, surgical placement and restoration of dental implants.


Dr. Tait has been awarded a Fellowship with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He is a graduate of the Dawson Academy for Advanced Dental Studies.


Dr. Tait and his dental team strive to bring their patients the highest quality treatment in a warm and caring environment. In the past, this team has participated in an international humanitarian effort through Feed the Children Canada, providing dental care to patients in Haiti. Dr. Tait lives in Rothesay with his wife and three children.

Dr. Rebecca Marr

Dr. Rebecca Marr, BSc DDS

Dr. Rebecca Marr was born and raised on the Kingston Peninsula, NB. She attended Dalhousie University, where she received an undergraduate honors degree in Medical Sciences (2018) before going on to complete her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree (2022).


While attending dental school, Dr. Marr was actively involved as the dental society president, a member of various volunteer organizations, and she played soccer. She received various academic and personal achievement awards, including the Dalhousie Dentistry Leadership IMPACT Award (highest level of passion for dentistry and taking the initiative to create new opportunities within dentistry), the Dr. Bruce N Fergusson Memorial Award (exceptional leadership, character, and personal qualities), and the Dr. F A. Godsoe Prize (greatest proficiency in patient care).


Dr. Marr strives to create great experiences for both adults and children in the dental office. She focuses on putting patient care first while delivering quality dental treatment. Her practice is focused on general dentistry. When Dr. Marr isn’t in the clinic, you can find her adventuring outdoors with her fiancée, Mark, and their dog, Willow.

Tim Chaisson

Tim Chaisson, DDS

Dr. Tim grew up in King’s County, New Brunswick. He graduated in 1985 from Dalhousie Dentistry. He is now enjoying his 38th year of practice. Dr. Chaisson is a past President of the Saint John Dental Society and the New Brunswick Dental Society. He represented New Brunswick as the Canadian Dental Association Governor and now sits as Mediation and Complaints Chairperson for the New Brunswick Dental Society.

Dr. Tim resides with his wife Mary, their 3 children: Max, Cole, and Maren, and their dog Duncan on a small acreage in Meenans Cove. He looks forward to working with the Oakville Lane Dental team in 2024.
